AI-Native

What is an AI-Native project?

AI-Native is a software project model where artificial intelligence isn't an add-on to an existing product, but a core part of the design from the start: the team builds the feature or product with AI models, data, and AI-assisted usage flows as a baseline requirement, not an extra layer bolted on at the end. It's the opposite of "adding a chatbot" to a product that was designed without AI in mind.

How it's used

The term is used to distinguish these projects from a migration or incremental improvement: an AI-Native project usually starts from scratch (or from a deep redesign) with AI as part of the architecture, not as a plugin added later.

Zenit offers AI-Native as a project option alongside the standard model, staffed with AI specialist squads. See AI-Native projects.
